It was another tough weekend at the office for the Delhi Travellers.

The Provincial Junior Hockey League Doherty Division cellar dwellers dropped a pair of games this weekend to drop to 0-19 on the season.

Friday on the road, the Travellers only managed single digits in the shot department in every period, while the New Hamburg Firebirds fired 47 shots Carter DeJong’s way in a 5-2 loss.

Adam Stephenson and Jared Misener scored for the Travellers.

Zach Mark, Quinton Stronach, Tyler Randerson, Walker Davison and Colin Martin scored for the Firebirds.

Saturday at home, the Travellers got a taste of why the Tavistock Braves are contending for the PJHL’s Doherty Division top spot in a 7-2 decision.

Brady Reid and Austin Forsyth scored for the Travellers.

Tanner Johnson led the Braves with a pair of goals, while Jake Wiffen, Zac Berg, Cole Corriveau, Tayler Trachsel and Josh Borys added one each.

The Travellers hope to get on track Saturday, when they host the Burford Bulldogs at 8 p.m.
