Suspect attacks Six Nations police officers

An Ohsweken man faces charges for mischief and assaulting police officers after he was seen damaging a vehicle at a Fourth Line home on Saturday.

On  Saturday at 11:30 a.m., Six Nations police were dispatched to a report of a man damaging a vehicle at a home, where he was reported to still be in the yard, shouting and yelling.

Officers arrived to see a man running toward another home. They caught the man, who was intoxicated and combative. Police say he kicked and spit at the officers while he was being arrested.

A 27-year-old Ohsweken is charged with mischief, assaulting police, uttering threats and causing a disturbance. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
