Police release video of missing Brantford man Andrew Osborne

News May 18, 2017 by Mike Peeling Brant News

The Brantford Police Service has offered evidence of missing man Andrew Osborne's movements the night he was last seen, hoping it will lead to more clues.

Officers obtained video surveillance of Osborne, 36, on May 10 at 10:24 p.m. walking south across a strip mall parking lot of 63 Brant Ave. at the corner of Church Street. The strip mall is home to an Asian restaurant and pizza restaurant.

Investigators now say Osborne left his home at approximately 10:10 p.m. near Jarvis Street and Spring Street earlier than first believed.

Brantford police are appealing to anyone in the community who has access to residential or commercial video surveillance footage to check their recordings from the evening of May 10 or early morning hours of May 11. Police hope the released video surveillance will inspire others to review their own video recordings, including those from dash cameras, to help find Osborne.

After Osborne was reported missing, patrol officers, K9 units, officers on our all-terrain vehicles and park patrol officers searched a variety of areas, including trail areas in and around the Grand River. The Brantford fire department assisted with a search on the Grand River by boat.

Brantford police requested the assistance of the OPP with a search of Waterford Conversation Area after learning Osborne frequented that spot. The OPP also provided aerial search capabilities by covering a few kilometres with a drone.

Osborne is described as a fair skinned male with a medium build, brown beard and shaved head. He stands about five-foot-ten and weighs approximately 190 pounds.

Osborne was last seen wearing black and grey checked pyjama pants, a black Metal Mulisha baseball hat, a black Sons of Anarchy hoodie, white K-Swiss running shoes, and carrying a Duck Commander black and grey backpack.

Call Brantford police Det. Trevor Branscombe at 519-756-7050 ext. 2261 or Det. Jason Davis at 519-756-7050 ext. 2273 with any information about Osborne.

To report criminal activity and remain anonymous, contact Brant-Brantford Crime Stoppers at 519-750-8477 or 1-800-222-8477 or visit www.crimestoppers-brant.ca.
