Canadian Country Music Association rising star award winner Kira Isabella and international country music duo Montgomery Gentry will headline the 2013 Paris Fair.
Isabella will perform her hit tunes Love Me Like That, A Little More Work and A Real Good Radio during a concert on Friday, Aug 30, in the main grandstand’s event bowl.
With multiple Country Music Awards and American Music Awards under their belt, Montgomery Gentry will perform a selection of their 14 Top 10 singles on Sunday, Sept. 1, in the event bowl.
The 155th edition of the Paris Fair will kick off on Thursday, Aug. 29, with the Monster Truck Extravaganza.
On Friday evening, take in a Bee Gees and Frankie Valli tribute show inside the exhibition centre. Maximum capacity for the show is 500 people, so organizers are advising fans to arrive early.
Canada’s No. 1 demolition derby, Thrillshow Productions, returns on Saturday, Aug. 31, at the main grandstand. The area’s best crashers and smashers will compete for the coveted Paris Fair Saturday Derby title.
The demolition doesn’t end there. Thrillshow will close out the fair on Monday, Sept. 2, with the Paris Fair Heat Demolition Derby Championship, where top derby teams will vie for the top driver crown.
For the kids, Freddy Fusion will perform his wild, crazy and fun antics four times daily, with three different shows from Friday to Monday.
Fairgoers can take a walk on the wild side during Wild World Experience, which is back with multiple shows running daily from Friday to Monday. The $60,000 production is bigger than ever, bringing fairgoers face to face with wild animals from around the world.
“With the entertainment lined up for 2013 and the usual excellent livestock and hall exhibits, combined with the many equestrian events…and of course the three great full-course meals cooked up and served by the (Paris Agricultural Society) homecraft committee, the 155th Paris Fair promises to be a must-attend,” said Paris Agricultural Society manager Dave Nash.
