Home repair 'MacGyvers' sought for HGTV series

Brant News

Staff Report BRANT NEWS Do you know someone who is more MacGyver than Mike Holmes? Mountain Road Productions is looking for homeowners with an eccentric, unconventional approach to home repairs for a new series in development for HGTV. Those who would rather use a roll of duct tape than a screwdriver for home repairs, who have used roofing shingles to tile a foyer, linoleum as a kitchen backsplash or crutches to hold up basement stairs are in demand for the new show. An expert host will fix the creative handiwork and renovate that part of the house for free. To apply, send an e-mail to casting@mountainroad.ca that includes the story behind the questionable home improvements, photos of each of the eccentric repairs, a photo of you and the not-so-handy person that’s being nominated and your contact information. Visit www.mountainroadcasting.ca for more information.
