ICHTHYS Theatre Productions Brantford is hosting a new one-act theatre festival.

The Left of Centre Theatre Festival, managed by Cobblestone Festival alumni Rachel Wyatt and Erik Kopaksi, features four shows over two weekends, running Aug. 17 to Aug. 19 and Aug. 24 to Aug. 26.

ICHTHYS’ production Why do we Laugh?, a comedy by Stephen Gregg about love and the way people change over a lifetime, runs Aug. 17 to Aug. 19, along with The Morning After by Rachel Wyatt.

Hugh Sutherland’s comedic abridgement of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing and Evelyn Participato’s original play Hilary’s Par-Four run Aug. 19 to Aug. 24.

Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets cost $10 per performance and include two productions.
