Joe Lewis exhibits jacquard textiles at Station

Staff Report
BRANT NEWS

From public and commercial galleries to parking lots and hair salons, Joe Lewis has exhibited almost everywhere.

He’ll add a train station to that list when the former Paris resident showcases his hand-woven jacquard textiles at the Brantford Station Gallery.

The exhibit, which runs throughout the month of November, represents 10 years of works Lewis produced while learning the art of jacquard weaving at the Montreal Centre for Contemporary Textiles.

When he’s not creating textiles, Lewis writes about them for his online magazine, fibreQUARTERLY, as well as for national and international publications.

An opening reception for the exhibit will be held on Saturday, Nov. 10, at the gallery between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
