The Sanderson Centre rocked on Friday night with a full house of enthusiastic Colin James fans, who were treated to a sample of his extensive musical repertoire, including both old and new offerings.

Longtime friend and co-writer of many of James’ songs, Hamilton native Tom Wilson of Junkhouse, Blackie and the Rodeo Kings and more recently Lee Harvey Osmond, opened the show with a 45-minute set.

Wilson later joined James on stage for a rare live performance of their song Far Away Like a Radio.

Six-time Juno award-winner James and his six-piece band performed songs including iconic hits such as Why’d You Lie and Make a Mistake, as well as several from his new album, Fifteen.

Blackie and the Rodeo Kings will perform at the Lighthouse Festival Theatre in Port Dover on Nov. 8.
