The Brantford Symphony Orchestra’s Black and White Ball promises to be anything but black and white.

The annual event, taking place Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Hellenic Community Centre, will feature the sounds of swing by the Hamilton All-Star Jazz Band and a dinner of fine cuisine created by chef Eric Wasylenky of the Brantford Club.

The evening will also highlight the talents of surprise guest performers.

“We’re so excited to have the All-Stars back again to entertain us with their unique style of jazz and big band,” said event chair Mary Lou Roxborough. “The jazz band, along with our surprise performers, will surely make this year’s gala a memorable one.”

Funds raised during the event will help support the Brantford Symphony Orchestra and its educational program for children. By purchasing a ticket, patrons will also have the chance to win prizes and participate in silent and live auctions.

This year’s auction items include a Via Rail package for two, a travel package from WestJet, a deluxe barbecue package and an entertainment surprise package.

Tickets cost $110 per person. Call 519-759-8781 or e-mail administrator@brantfordsymphony.ca for tickets or information.
