The St. John’s College Green Eagles defeated the North Park Collegiate Trojans 11-3 to open the senior high school football season on Friday night at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre field.
The only touchdown of the game came on an interception and 55-yard run by the Green Eagles’ Thomas Pach.
Lucas MacIntyre hit a field goal and a single for the Green Eagles, while Marco Romic hit a field goal for the Trojans.
In the junior contest between the schools, the Trojans got three touchdowns from Keaton Wray en route to a 35-13 win over the junior Green Eagles.
