A woman is dead following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 403 west of Brantford late Friday afternoon.

The accident occurred west of Oak Park Road at about 5:15 p.m.

Police say the woman was travelling westbound when her vehicle crossed the median and collided with a car travelling in the highway’s eastbound lanes.

The driver of the second vehicle was treated for non-life threatening injuries at Brantford General Hospital.

The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
