Woman killed in Brantford industrial accident

The Ministry of Labour is investigating after a 24-year-old woman was killed in an industrial accident on Mohawk Street Thursday afternoon.

The woman was working on a roof and fell 21 feet through a skylight, ministry officials said on Friday morning.

She succumbed to her injuries at the scene

Police were called at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. The city coroner and Ministry of Labour emergency services also responded.

The incident was deemed to be not criminal in nature and the Ministry of Labour took over the investigation.

At this time, police are not releasing the identity of the deceased or the name of the business.
