Woman arrested for possession of stolen vehicle

A Port Dover woman faces stolen property charges after city police found her in possession of a stolen SUV on Thursday.

Police say the SUV was parked in a Colborne Street parking lot when an officer on patrol discovered that the vehicle had been earlier reported stolen to the Halton Regional Police Service.

A 28-year-old Port Dover woman is charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000.

The woman was released with a future court date in Brantford.

Anyone with information in relation to the theft of vehicles is asked to contact the Brantford street crime unit at 519-756-0113 ext. 2286.
