Two Brantford men facing drug charges after traffic stop

An evening traffic stop by Brantford police on Monday led to the arrest of two Brantford men and the seizure of more than $7,000 in hydromorphone pills and cash.

Officers from the street crime unit and community patrol officers pulled over a vehicle at Peel and Colborne streets at 9 p.m. Officers found 123 hydromorphone pills and more than $1,100 in cash in the vehicle.

A 62-year-old Waterloo Street man is charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of stolen property under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

A 28-year-old Mary Street man faces a possession charge.
