County of Brant OPP are currently investigating a fatal crash that left one woman dead and closed a portion of Highway 24 South until midnight on Sunday.

The accident occured around 5 p.m. Sunday on Highway 24, between Elliott Road and County Road 4.

Poice said a gold Toyota vehicle was travelling northbound on Highway 24 near Elliott Road when it turned left into the path of a southbound GMC pickup truck.

The driver of the Toyota, Kelly Pace, 41, of Toronto was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The driver and passenger of the GMC pickup truck had minor injuries that were treated by County of Brant Paramedics at the scene.
