Three males were injured in a two-vehicle collision on Colborne Street West during the early morning hours on Thursday.

County of Brant OPP say officers responded to the accident shortly before 4 a.m. at Colborne Street West and Highway 24.

Police say an eastbound Ford Escape struck a southbound Volkswagen at the intersection.

The 45-year-old male driver of the Ford was taken to Brantford General Hospital and later transferred to Hamilton Health Sciences for treatment of serious injuries.

Two male occupants of the Volkswagen were taken to Brantford General Hospital with minor injuries.
Police say an investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
