Support for Special Olympics

Brantford police officers wore red shoelaces on Thursday to mark “Be a Fan Day,” showing their support for the Special Olympics and the 25th anniversary of the Law Enforcement Torch Run. Brant Special Olympics provides a social atmosphere for about 180 athletes of all ages from Brantford and the County of Brant who participate in a wide variety of sports. Athlete Richard Ward presented a plaque to police Chief Jeff Kellner in appreciation of the department’s support and dedicated service to the Special Olympics.
