A single-vehicle collision closed Wayne Gretzky Parkway southbound at Lynden Road Monday afternoon.
A sedan struck a light standard, causing it to fall over. Workers from the city of Brantford cut the pole in sections in order to remove it from the street.
Police said the driver was treated for minor injuries.
