The Grand River Conservation Authority will host two public meetings this month to allow the public to review city and county proposals for drinking water protection.
The first meeting will take place on Sept. 19 at the Brant Sports Complex on Rest Acres Road beginning at 7 p.m. The second will take place on Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. at the Best Western Plus Brant Park Inn on Holiday Drive.
The meetings are a precursor to GRCA staff submitting the Grand River Source Water Protection Plan to the provincial environment ministry by the end of the year.
The plan addresses how to protect source water from risks including sewage, garbage, commercial fertilizer and chemical runoff.
