Police continue investigation after man killed by train

An investigation into the death of a 28-year-old Brantford man struck by a train early Saturday morning is continuing, Brantford police said in a media release issued on Sunday.

The incident occurred near the Henry Street overpass, on the north side tracks, at about 4 a.m.

Police said the man was walking eastbound when he was struck by a CN freight train.

The incident is being investigated as an accident based on information obtained by investigators. A post-mortem examination is scheduled for Monday in Hamilton.

The man’s identity is being withheld at the request of his family.
