Brantford police seized more than $275,000 worth of marijuana and illegal weapons after dismantling a grow-op on Monday night.
Police say the street crime unit executed a search warrant at a Charing Cross Street residence at about 10 p.m. and found 276 marijuana plants, a small amount of dried marijuana and a vial of hash oil in the home.
Investigators also seized a set of brass knuckles and a working Taser during the search.
The estimated street value of the mature pot plants is $276,000. Brass knuckles and Tasers are prohibited weapons in Canada.
A 52-year-old Charing Cross Street man is charged with production of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and two counts of unauthorized possession of a weapon.
A 41-year-old Charing Cross Street man is charged with production of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
