City police are seeking a suspect after a Brantford Tim Hortons was robbed at knifepoint during the early morning hours on Monday.
Police say a man walked into the Paris Road Tim Hortons location with a knife in his hand shortly before 3 a.m. and demanded money.
The man fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured during the incident.
Brantford police contacted the Ontario Provincial Police canine unit for assistance, which led investigators to the Hardy Road area.
Police are continuing their investigation by interviewing witnesses and reviewing video surveillance that captured the robbery in progress.
The suspect is described as a white male in his early 20s, between 5’8″ and 6’0′ tall with a slim build. He was wearing dark shoes, dark pants and a dark hooded jacket during the robbery. The suspect had his face partially concealed.
Police are reminding the public to co-operate with suspects if they find themselves the victim of a robbery. Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact Det. David Minutillo at 519-756-0113 ext. 2272.
