The execution of a search warrant by Brantford police at a Wellington Street residence on Wednesday led to the arrest of a man and woman for drug possession.

The street crime unit searched the residence at about 12:30 a.m. The man and woman were arrested after being found in possession of one gram of crack cocaine with an estimated street value of $100.

A 55-year-old Wellington Street woman and a 55-year-old Murray Street man are charged with possession of a controlled substance.
