Nelson Street domestic dispute leads to charges

A domestic dispute resulted in two people being arrested by Brantford police during the early morning hours on Thursday.

Police say a resident reported a dispute occurring on Nelson Street shortly after 1 a.m.

Investigators say a man and a woman involved in a relationship had been verbally arguing with each other and the argument escalated into a physical confrontation.

The woman punched the man in the face and knocked one of his teeth out. The woman was choked by the man.

Both were arrested by responding officers.

A 39-year-old man is charged with assault and choking.

A 38-year woman is charged with assault causing bodily harm.
