St. Leonard’s Community Services is shedding light on the challenges at-risk youth face in the community during Youth Homelessness Week.
The eighth annual awareness week kicks off Monday, Feb. 4, with the March for Homelessness starting at city hall at noon and ending at St. Leonard’s Youth Resource Centre at 2 p.m.
On Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., head to the Best Western Brant Park Inn to vote for your favourite concoction during the Soup Challenge.
On Wednesday, visit St. Leonard’s Brant Employment Centre at 55 Fairview Dr. from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. for an open house event.
On Thursday, enjoy a pasta dinner served by students from St. John’s College at the Brant Employment Centre beginning at 5 p.m. Later that night, brave the winter elements during the Out in the Cold Sleep Out at Laurier Brantford from 8 p.m. until 8 a.m. Call 519-759-7220 for more information.
The week comes to a close with a winter barbecue from noon until 1:30 p.m. on Friday at St. Leonard’s Community Services at 133 Elgin St.
