Man stabbed, beaten during argument

A 35-year-old Thamesford man is facing assault charges after stabbing and beating a man at a Winniett Street address on Jan. 28.

The assailant was arrested shortly after 10 p.m. on Feb. 3 after the victim contacted investigators on Jan. 31 to report the incident.

Officers say a verbal argument turned into a violent assault where the victim was stabbed in the thigh with a knife and struck in the face and body with a baton.

The victim received medical treatment for his injuries.

A 35-year-old Thamesford man is charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and theft under $5,000.
