County of Brant firefighters and OPP work at the scene of a house fire on Bateman Line in the County of Brant on Wednesday afternoon. The fire, which occurred shortly before 1 p.m., claimed the life of the lone male occupant of the residence, emergency officials said at the scene. Police identified the deceased as Tony Klyn, 77, in a media release on Thursday morning. The Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office and County of Brant OPP continue to investigate the fire.
