Five award-winning ribbers from across North America will showcase their finest ribs and sauces during the Brantford Kinsmen’s annual Ribfest, running Aug. 10 to Aug. 12 at Cockshutt Park.

Sample each team’s ribs and vote on which one deserves the title of “best ribs.”

Local bands will perform throughout the weekend.

Sarah and Jeff kick off the festival on Friday, the Practically Hip take the stage on Saturday and the Tyler Wilson band closes out the show on Sunday.

GTA Midways will have rides and games set up all weekend and children will be entertained at a Kidzone run by the Brantford Youth Council.

A beer garden will be open throughout the weekend and chicken, hamburgers, roasted corn, blooming onions and ice cream will be available.

All proceeds from the event support the Brantford Kinsmen Club’s local initiatives.
