Kick off the start of summer on Thursday, June 21, with Kids Summer Celebration Day at Mohawk Park.

Take part in free children’s activities and browse vendors and non-profit agency information from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

While parents collect information about community services, kids can enjoy face painting, pony rides and meet members of the Brantford Fire Department. Children’s entertainer Eric Traplin will perform two shows during the event.

Kids Summer Celebration Day is run by the Children’s Aid Society of Brant, Family Counselling Centre of Brant, the Ontario Early Years Centre Brant and the Six Nations Child Care Resource Centre.

“I have to give a big thank you to our sponsors that help a committee of four people make this day possible – Millard, Rouse and Rosebrugh, Scotiabank, Best Western, Kids Can Fly, Kidtastic, Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids and Ontario Early Years Centre,” said organizer Cheryl Smith.
