BRANT NEWS
With an active flu season affecting many across the country, the Brant County Health Unit is encouraging those who haven’t got their flu shot yet to come in for the vaccine.
Flu shot clinics will be held on Saturday, Jan. 12, and Saturday, Jan. 19, from noon until 3 p.m. at the Brant County Health Unit, 194 Terrace Hill St.
The predominant strain of the flu currently circulating is a strong and contagious one that causes many affected to end up hospitalized, according to the health unit. The health unit says this year’s vaccine is a good match for strain that is circulating and is the best protection against the flu.
Book an appointment for a flu shot by visiting www.bchu.org or by calling 519-753-4937 ext. 446. Saturday clinics offer free parking at the rear of the health unit.
