Fire damages garage on Baldwin Avenue

Brantford firefighters extinguished a blaze in a garage on Baldwin Avenue Monday afternoon.
A Brantford Fire Department staff member said a call about the fire was received shortly after 3 p.m. and firefighters extinguished the blaze quickly.
An Erie Avenue resident said he witnessed at least one person being taken away from the scene by ambulance.
Police closed Baldwin Avenue while firefighters remained on scene, but investigators would not offer comment on the incident.
