The stylists at Aaron Michael’s Style Professionals are picking up their scissors in support of Angel Hair for Kids.

On Saturday, Oct. 20, the salon will hold its first cut-a-thon.

From 2 p.m. until 5 p.m., proceeds from every haircut will be donated to Angel Hair for Kids. The program provides wigs and hair loss solutions to financially disadvantaged children in Canada who have lost their hair due to a medical condition or treatment.

It takes 10 to 12 donated ponytails and costs between $800 and $1,000 to make one hair prosthesis.
