A 53-year-old County of Brant man is facing impaired driving charges after being stopped by police at a RIDE checkpoint on Quarter Townline Road on Saturday afternoon.

County of Brant OPP say officers conducting the roadside check pulled over a blue 2002 Chevrolet van shortly before 4 p.m.

A man was arrested for impaired driving after having a conversation with an officer. The man is charged with driving a motor vehicle over the legal limit of alcohol and driving while under suspension.
