Clumsy intruder nabbed by City of Brantford police

The sound of breaking glass alerted a Chatham Street resident sitting on his front porch that his home was being broken into just before 5 p.m. on Sunday.

The resident caught a 16-year-old intruder leaving his home from the side door carrying a laptop computer and package of cigarettes.

Brantford police laid charges against the youth, including break and enter, theft and mischief under $5,000, breach of probation and breach of court order.

The youth was held in custody for a bail hearing.
