City police seize 122 marijuana plants

A Brantford marijuana grower’s large illegal operation has gone up in smoke.

Brantford police seized 122 marijuana plants with an estimated street value of $122,000 from a Huron Street residence on Tuesday night.

Police say the street crimes unit became involved in an investigation into drug production activity at the address shortly before 8 p.m.

Investigators obtained and executed a search warrant and arrested a man.

Police seized the plants and growing operation equipment.

A 41-year-old Huron Street man is charged with production of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking.
