Charges follow County of Brant break and enter

A Six Nations man is facing break and enter charges after being arrested by County of Brant OPP officers for attempting to steal a Bobcat construction vehicle on Saturday morning.

Officers were called to a Cockshutt Road residence shortly after 7:30 a.m. and witnessed a man flee on foot into a cornfield.

The OPP canine unit attended the scene with emergency response team officers and conducted a search.

Police say the suspect was located in a cornfield a short distance away.

A 32-year-old Six Nations man is charged with break and enter, possession of break-in instruments, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and attempted theft.
