Participants of Coldest Night of the Year depart from Yes Church on West Street for 2 km, 5 km and 10 km walks through the city on Saturday afternoon. About 140 people registered for the Brantford event, held in support of Why Not City Missions and the Out of the Cold emergency shelter. Saturday’s walk raised about $25,000 for the two charitable organizations. Coldest Night of the Year is a nationwide fundraiser held in 39 cities.
