City police lay drug charges following Mississauga bust

Three men, one of them a Paris resident, are facing drug trafficking charges after Brantford police arrested the trio in Mississauga on Wednesday.

Police say an investigation led street crime unit officers to a parking lot at about 8:30 p.m., when police approached two parked vehicles and arrested the suspects.

A search resulted in the seizure of 28 grams of cocaine, 35 MDMA tablets and cash.

The total value of the drugs and money seized is about $4,450.

A 23-year-old Paris man is charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, trafficking in a controlled substance, breach of probation and failing to comply with a recognizance.

A 28-year-old Oshawa man is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of property obtained by crime.

A 30-year-old Scarborough man is charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, trafficking in a controlled substance and possession of property obtained by crime.
