Brantford police charge six with drug-related offences

Brantford police arrested five men and a woman in relation to drug offences on Monday.

Police say the street crime unit observed two people involved in a drug transaction shortly after 1 p.m. in the area of Market Street South.

Officers seized stolen alcohol, four Percocet pills with a street value of nearly $830, 0.5 grams of cocaine with a street value of $50 and two grams of marijuana. Two men were arrested.

An investigation led to officers arrest a third man at 5:15 p.m. The man was observed making a drug transaction in the area of Clarence Street.

Police seized 12 three-milligram Hydromorph Contin pills with a street value of $200 and five six-milligram Hydromorph Contin pills with a street value of $100.

Officers then executed a search warrant at an Alfred Street residence shortly before 6 p.m.

A woman inside the residence was arrested after being found in possession of two Percocet pills with a street value of $10. A man found in possession of half a Dilaudid pill with a street value of $10 and 0.1 grams of cocaine was also arrested.

Another man who attended the residence during the search attempted to flee on foot. The man was identified and arrested on an outstanding warrant.

A 37-year-old Wildflower Lane man, a 43-year-old Parkside Drive man, a 43-year-old Alfred Street man, a 37-year-old Alfred Street woman and a 26-year-old Alfred Street man all face numerous drug-related charges. A 21-year-old Alfred Street man was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
