Shooting a BB gun at university students moving into their Dalhousie Street residence led city police to lay assault charges against a man after an incident on Monday morning.
Police say a man living across the street from students moving in became upset about noise the students were making at about 8:30 a.m.
Investigators say the man fired at least six shots from a BB gun toward the students from his window.
One woman was shot in the arm and leg, another woman was struck in the arm and a man was struck in the shin. Police say their injures did not require medical attention.
The assailant was arrested at his residence and a Ruger P345 Airsoft BB gun was seized by police.
A 19-year-old Dalhousie Street man is charged with three counts of assault with a weapon and one count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
