Local credit unions have been targeted in recent break and enters and Brantford police are seeking information from the public in relation to the incidents.
Sometime during the Thanksgiving weekend, holes were cut in the roofs of the Neighbourhood Credit Union on Fairview Drive and the Hamilton Teachers Credit Union on King George Road.
Police say thefts did not occur at the businesses, as both are equipped with enhanced security systems.
The pair of break-ins follow and Oct. 1 incident that saw the Rochdale Credit Union on Charing Cross Street damaged when a hole was cut in its roof. A security system was credited for preventing theft in that incident.
Detectives with the street crime unit are seeking information from the public in relation to the incidents. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 519-756-7050 ext. 2286.
