BCI students to take part in We Scare Hunger campaign
Staff Report
BRANT NEWS
Brantford Collegiate Institute students are heading out on Halloween to help scare away hunger.
As part of We Scare Hunger, an initiative of Free the Children, costumed students will go door-to-door collecting non-perishable food items including canned goods, pasta, baby food and more for the local food bank.
Students have a head start on collections, brining in canned goods to the school leading up to Halloween.
This is the third year BCI’s Activism Club has undertaken the initiative. The club is a student-run, teacher-supervised club focused on social and environmental activism.
