BRANT NEWS

An Ohsweken man is facing numerous charges after failing to provide a breath sample during a traffic stop on Rawdon Street by Brantford police at 8:25 p.m. on Saturday.

The 43-year-old gave a false name and was driving a vehicle with plates registered to a different vehicle. Police said he was showing signs of impairment and arrested after refusing to submit to a breathalyzer test.

The man was later charged with failure to provide a breath sample, obstructing police, driving under suspension and other Highway Traffic Act offences.

The accused was released pending a court appearance and the vehicle was impounded for one week.
