| Still the confectionary couple of Martin & McCreary have not registered as candidates. I wonder why? Could it be they both appear to wait cautiously in the wings quietly contemplating their next move - who else can run as a candidate in ward 3? Maybe, just maybe, there is a past political type already lurking about, to round up a candidate or two to enter the race at the last minute!
After examining past election details for Ward 3. In a race of 3 viable candidates, one of the incumbents is at risk of being sent home! Quite frankly, M & M are both politically smart and I have to believe they too know the numbers. Knowing the numbers, the longer they wait for others to enter the race, and should the list be 3, 4 or more, it would be enough to split the vote and once agin secure their current seats on council? Ward 3 has a history of similar outcomes.
If this were not the case, why pray-tell would Martin & McCreary be dragging their feet for so long? Are they not confident enough to be re-elected in a 3 way race, knowing their so called present merits!
Anthony, I read your comment. Well said!
In my opinion, there is no better time then this election to send home the biggest of all game players on council!
Bye Dan!
I almost forgot. I wonder if it is legal to enter a candidates event and campaign through a public debating process when you are not a registered candidate OR is it perceived to be appropriate, proper and ethical to participate in the debate when you are not a registered candidate? Either way, it appears questionable. |
