Brantford police looking for witnesses to Fairview Drive assault

Brant News

Brantford police are looking witnesses to a case of road rage from more than two months ago.

On Friday, Nov. 4, 2016 at 8:50 a.m., a man driving a tractor-trailer turned onto the exit ramp of Highway 403 onto Fairview Drive, but had to stop due to traffic that was backed up from King George Road.

The driver of a a red pick-up truck pulled around the tractor-trailer and stopped behind traffic in the through lane, blocking the tractor-trailer from being able to make a left turn onto King George Road. The driver of the tractor-trailer started yelling and cursing at the driver of the pick-up truck.

The driver of the pick-up truck went over to the tractor-trailer as the exchange became more heated. The pick-up truck driver punched the other driver in the face and then left the area.

The accused is described as a white man in his 20s with an athletic build. He was driving a red pick-up truck. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident should contact Constable Robin Butterfield at 519-756-7050 ext. 2814.
