Two men were injured, one seriously, in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 24 south of Blue Lake Road on Tuesday afternoon.
County of Brant OPP and firefighters responded to the collision at about 3:30 p.m.
Police say a burgundy 2003 Chevrolet pick-up truck was travelling northbound on Highway 24 when a red 2007 Dodge pick-up truck pulled out of a private driveway and collided with the Chevrolet in the northbound lanes.
The crash caused extensive damage to both vehicles and injured both drivers.
The driver of the Chevrolet pick-up truck, a 33-year-old Petersburg man, sustained serious injuries. He was removed from his vehicle by County of Brant firefighters and taken to Brantford General Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Dodge pick-up truck, a 31-year-old Brantford man, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was also taken to Brantford General Hospital.
The 31-year-old Brantford man is charged under the Highway Traffic Act for failing to yield from a private driveway. He was issued a provincial offence notice, which carries an $85 fine.
Highway 24 was closed for about two hours to allow for an investigation and recovery of the damaged trucks.
