Cathy Horgan leaving Catholic school board

Staff Report BRANT NEWS The Brant-Haldimand-Norfolk Catholic District School Board has announced that director of education Cathy Horgan will be leaving the board for a new position. Horgan has accepted a position with the Ontario Catholic Supervisory Officers’ Association. She will serve as program director for the organization's qualification program. “Cathy’s strong leadership skills and strategic thinking are underscored by her passion for Catholic education," school board chair Cliff Casey said in a  media release. "She has been instrumental in moving the board forward in respect to our strategic plan, our commitment to our Catholic community and our established focus on student achievement. "We wish her the best and will miss her.” The board says it will begin the recruitment of a new director in the near future. “I have been proud to serve a Catholic learning community made up of dedicated professionals who have been instrumental in placing us as one of the top performing boards in the province," Horgan said. "I am confident that this excellence in learning will continue."
