Brant MPP Dave Levac went back to school on Friday, reading to students at Brantford’s St. Patrick’s Elementary School.

Levac read Dr. Suess’ Green Eggs and Ham to Grade 1 and Grade 2 students to promote Family Literacy Day, which is designed to encourage parents and children to make reading a part of everyday life.

Levac also took part in St. Patrick’s second annual “Souper Bowl” campaign, which challenges schools to collect canned goods for local food banks.

Recently elected at Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, Levac is planning a tour that will serve to educate students about the role of government and the workings of the legislature.
