County of Brant Mayor Ron Eddy recently presented Cathcart-area resident Marion Sheridan with a plaque on behalf of county council in recognition of her receiving the Lieutenant Governor’s Ontario Heritage Award for Lifetime Achievement.

Sheridan is a long-time member of the Brant chapter of the Architectural Conservancy of Ontario. She also served on the Township of Burford Heritage and Tourism Committee and the County of Brant Heritage Advisory Committee. Sheridan is well-known for her work researching and helping preserve historical architecture in the County of Brant.
