
Ashley Muscat - Athlete of the Week for May 24, 2012

Ashley Muscat is an eighteen year old grade 12 student from Paris District High School and was a member the girl’s soccer and volleyball teams in grade 9 and the soccer team in grade 11.
She traveled to Malta in October 2011 to play for the U17 Maltese National Team where she played in an international friendly.
Ashley has been playing soccer since she was 3 years old and from the age of 11 she has played for DP Soccer Academy in Stoney Creek.
She had a chance to travel to Spain with her academy team to play in a tournament against four of the women’s professional teams.
She is a very strong center midfield player who is very calm and sound on the ball and uses her foot skills to set up goals.
Ashley attended a training camp with coaches from the Bolton Wanders Football Club of England. This summer she will be playing with the Mount Hamilton Dynamo women’s open first Division team.
She is a dedicated and hardworking student who has received an academic and soccer scholarship to Davis & Elkins College in West Virginia, where she will be majoring in Criminology next fall.
